Game Theory and the Middle East
No time to blog in earnest just now. Here's a quick thought I had.Is the Israel-Palestine problem best considered through the lens of game theory? Leaving the specifics of the crisis behind, are we better off assuming both sides are trapped in an on-going Prisoner's Dilemma-style recursive loop? A kind of self-replicating program of violence and revenge that serves no one and hurts all. And, if so, can this incredibly robust program be crashed somehow? Hackers for peace, anyone?Just curious. More later.
